I was born in London, in the days whenthe world was in black and white! You could leave your front door open in those days too. I was influenced by the 60s Pop Pirates, off of the Essex Coast and at a young age I knew “that’s what I want to do when I grow up”

Fast forward to 1984, when I started on the London Soul Pirate Stations, Horizon Radio and I was one of the original team at Solar Radio. I moved into “legal radio” in 1986, joining Essex Radio, where I got my big break and stayed eight years. Since then, I’ve worked at more stations than “The Fat Controller”, Including Great North Radio, Century Radio (Northeast), Century 105 (Northwest), Jazz Fm (Northwest), Smooth Radio (Northwest), Signal One, Signal Two, UTV Network, Time 107.5 Fm.

In September 2025, I joined the All Hit Radio team. I still get a buzz doing a radio show, after getting away with it for over forty years.
