STEVE DEAN (DEANO)

"When I was small and Christmas tree’s were tall back in 1965 I started my career in Hospital Radio. I was there for many years learning the craft of how to string two words together. Years later I fancied dabbling in Pirate Radio but my audition tapes were rejected one after the other, on the grounds that I had two legs and wasn’t a patch on the other candidates.
My first professional gig was at Spectrum Radio where I hosted primarily a talk show. I am certain it was the inspiration for the Sparks song, Amateur Hour, it literally was an hour sandwiched between The Russian Hour and the Italian football.
I joined Heartbeat FM on it’s launch in Knebworth and was a regular voice on it, particularly at weekends until... reason for leaving, CLOSURE)
From there I went to County Sound Radio in Guildford where I was the Sunday Breakfast Jock until... (reason for leaving, CLOSURE)
Determined to inflict more pain and agony on listeners I joined Time 106.6 in Slough. I blagged my way in to cover the sports show knowing as much about sport as I do about brain salad surgery. I was also the Sunday Breakfast presenter... (trend emerging - reason for leaving, CLOSURE)
I spent a few years working at INRIX reading travel bulletins for both BBC and Commercial stations up and down the country.
In between all this I managed to squeeze some time in at Biggles FM, NNBC Northampton, Corby FM and Embrace Radio.
My last port of call before joining All Hit Radio was at Time 107.5 Romford. Hard to believe they tolerated me for the best part of ten years but somehow I managed to creep in and creep out again without too much trouble... (Reason for leaving, CLOSURE)
In summary I am a versatile member of any team with a proven track record of Closure lol As you read this I am already updating my CV and sprinkling some dairy dust on my CV and Demo for Quiet FM."
